Sherman-Thomas Student Center
The Sherman-Thomas Student Center is a major hub of community activity on the Kentucky campus. The facility houses the Office of Community Formation, Asbury House of Prayer, the Stephens Pike Dining Hall and Asbury Seminary Fitness Area, which includes all of our wellness activities and programs. In the evenings on a week day, you might see students and their families enter the facility for either a worship service planned for students’ spouses, an intramural volleyball game or a Zumba fitness class.
Hours of Operation
Monday – Thursday: 6 a.m. – 11 p.m.
Friday: 6 a.m. – 8 p.m.
Saturday: 9 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Hours are subject to change during holidays and weekends.
The facility is equipped with the following:
- Full court basketball
- Volleyball equipment for full court games
- Soccer goals for indoor soccer
- Two racquetball courts
- Weight room equipped with both machine and free weight equipment
- Aerobic room suitable for instructor classes and video classes
- Cardio room with new treadmills, elliptical and stationary bikes
- Pool table room
- Full Service Dining Hall
- Family Play Area
- Lounge area with cable television available for reservations
The Sherman-Thomas Student Center is available for free to our students, staff, alumni and their families. We ask that all family members and alumni stop by the front desk and fill out the Code of Conduct and Waiver of Liability forms. The center is also available to the greater community through paid memberships. Please contact the Student Center front desk for more information at 859.858.2349.
