Academic Advising

The menu on the left provides links to pages and resources you will need. If the links do not provide the information needed, please contact us directly.

Professional Academic Advisors assist masters-level students in the planning of their academic course work, and serve as guides through the curriculum at Asbury. They help students interpret the curriculum and select courses that will enable students to fulfill their calls in ministry. They also clear students to register for new classes. Students must meet with their Academic Advisors at least once a semester. Students cannot register for classes until they have been cleared to do so by their Academic Advisors. Academic Advisors are housed in the Office of the Registrar.

New M.Div. and M.A. degree students are assigned an Academic Advisor upon enrollment in their first term. You can see your Advisor’s name listed on the biographical data page of your online registration. You can reach the Academic Advisors by e-mail at academic_advisor@asburyseminary.edu.

If you are in the Ph.D., D.Miss., or Th.M. degree program, the Director of Postgraduate Studies will be your contact.

If you are a D.Min. student, the Doctor of Ministry office will be your contact.
