Welcome to Asbury's Online Reader. As a seminary community, we read a common text. Comprised of an unfolding Gospel text with supporting voices from the Prophets and complimented by voices from the Communion of Saints, the Reader project is part of our Lilly Endowment funded Seminarius initiative on Sustaining Pastoral Excellence. Seminarius exists to help persons preparing for ministry to develop sustainable practices of spiritual formation leading to fullness of life in ministry within a seedbed of formative relationships.
No matter who you are and no matter where you are we would love for you to join with us as a community who reads the Story together.
ABIDE IN ME and I will abide in you. Join Asbury in reading scriptures in unison. The journey will trek us through John's Gospel and selected saints from the Great Cloud of witnesses. Asbury is pleased to share the added feature of a companion reader podcast, bringing in devotional commentary on John from a range of professors, theologians, pastors, teachers and artists. Print copies of the Asbury Reader may be purchased for a $5 donation plus shipping. Email chapel@asburyseminary.edu to order. The reader podcast can be accessed below or through iTunes.
