Our chapel theme for the 2007-2008 academic year is Seeking Holy Wholeness - an extended consideration of what it means to Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. (Mark 12:30). Speakers in our chapels will address physical, emotional, spiritual and relational wholeness as presented in Scripture as both personal and societal possibilities. A variety of complimentary activities and events will be planned to bring us to a better understanding of how to live out an abundant life in Christ.

Painted on our Chapel wall is a symmetrical geometric design that brings forth the image of a tree, a symbol that is used often throughout Scripture, from Genesis "And out of the ground the Lord God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life was also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil." (Genesis 2:9) to Revelation, "... To him who overcomes, I will give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God." (Revelation 2:7). The righteous person is described in Psalm 1 as one who is planted by the rivers of water, and Jesus often uses the image of a tree in his teachings to describe the connected life that we have both with Him and with each other.
Chapel services on the Florida campus are held each Tuesday and Thursday afternoons at 1 p.m. during the academic year. Additional services are held on Saturdays and during the January and Summer terms. Morning Prayer is offered during the semester for our Episcopal students on Tuesday mornings at 8:30 a.m. and Holy Eucharist on Thursdays at 8 a.m. in our Prayer Room. All are invited to participate!
