The Office of Advancement and Communications is pleased to announce that Asbury Theological Seminary received an award from Graphic Design USA for the 2009 Annual Report edition of the Asbury Herald.  The first time that Asbury Seminary has received such an award, it was named in a competition that recognizes well-designed graphics, project management and editorial content.  The competition also recognizes the power of design to advance the brand and create an emotional link between an organization and its donors.  The American Package Design Awards is the fastest growing of Graphic Design USA's national competitions.

Three members of the Advancement and Communications team were individually recognized. Graphic Design USA honored Teresa VanderMolen, Graphic Design/Brand Manager; Tammy Hogan, Director of Donor Development and Editor of the 2009 Annual Report; and Amanda Stamper, Manager of Communications.

Vice President for Advancement and Communications Jay Mansur said, “Asbury is so blessed to have such outstanding professionals serving on the advancement and communications team. Their dedication to Asbury Seminary’s mission is apparent in all of their work.”

President Tennent added, “We are delighted for this recognition of three members of our advancement and communications team. This underscores the excellence and professionalism, which is the hallmark of Asbury Theological Seminary.”

The Asbury Herald is published three times per year and is mailed to more than 17,000 households. This 16-page, quarterly magazine (including annual report) is the official magazine of Asbury Theological Seminary and provides information on a wide variety of topics. It is also now being published in electronic format.
