About Judith MacNutt

Judith Sewell MacNutt was born in the little town of Jackson, Kentucky, in the Red River area of the Appalachians. Imbued with a deep desire to help people, she studied psychology and earned a degree in counseling at Eastern Kentucky University.

Judith discovered the need for praying for her clients while working as a psychologist in the Boston area. In 1974, her new-found love for Jesus Christ led her to Jerusalem where, at the request of the Baptist Church, she directed a center of prayer that ministered to both Jews and Arabs. She continued in this rare capacity of ministering to both Jews and Arabs for a period of three years. Judith moved to Clearwater, Florida, in 1977, where she founded a counseling service that gave her the opportunity of combining psychotherapy with prayer in ministering to her clients.

Judith and Francis married in 1980, and were blessed with two children, Rachel (1981) and David (1983). They have traveled extensively, speaking and ministering together in their mission of praying for healing and teaching others to work in this vital aspect of Christ's ministry. Judith is known especially for her teachings on inner healing and the ministry of angels. She is co-author, with Francis, of the book Praying for Your Unborn Child.
