In an increasingly secularized society, Rosario Picardo felt called to plant a church. A daunting task for a Marine turned seminary student. But the vision God gave him just a few years ago will soon reach a wider audience than Picardo ever realized. That’s because, after planting Embrace Church, he got the opportunity to write a book about his experience. When the planting process began, Picardo said, “I just started writing and recording my experiences.” What emerged was the story of a church plant that defied the odds, broke the rules, made mistakes and embraced God’s plan. He hopes the book will offer encouragement to other church planters. “Embrace: A Church Plant that Broke All the Rules” is on sale through Asbury Seminary’s Seedbed.
