Webcasts
What is a webcast?
A webcast is simply a short-term conference with high-quality speakers that takes place over the Internet. It originates from a host site and is made available to participants attending via their personal computers.
Why is Asbury Seminary hosting webcasts?
Asbury Seminary's Center for Lifelong Learning recognizes that professionals continually face time constraints caused by ongoing ministry demands. This, in turn, causes them to miss out on continuing education opportunities. We are providing webcasts as a convenient blend of economic value and up-to-date education on a wide variety of topics specifically related to the Church and the workplace.
I don’t have a lot of time to sit in front of my computer. Does that matter?
The great thing about webcasts is that you only need 60-90 minutes to participate.
What happens if I am late tuning in to the webcast?
A pre-recorded webcast runs for 24 hours, beginning at noon on the specified date and ending at the noon the following day. No matter what time you tune in during that 24-hour period, you will hear the webcast from the beginning.
If you are late to a live webcast, you can tune in to hear the webcast from that point, or you can wait until we run a pre-recorded webcast later. The repeat broadcast will be listed on the Center for Lifelong Learning website.
Will I be able to download the webcast for later use?
Downloading the webcast will not always be an option; however, if it is possible, you will be able to click a 'download' bar.
