Presidential Search Committee News Update
February 14, 2008
Dear Asbury Family,
We have met as a committee in Atlanta on February 11 &12 to continue our work on the Presidential Search. This meeting in Atlanta was a significant and important step in our ongoing process. We will continue to give you updates as we make progress.
We want to tell all of you in the Asbury family how grateful we are for your prayers for us. We truly have been sensing the help of God in our deliberations. We want you to know that as a Search Committee we have been functioning:
1) with healthy candor
2) with a full commitment to a good process and thorough reflection
3) with a growing confidence that the Spirit of the Lord is guiding us in our work
We want to thank the community for respecting the need for confidentiality. Our work has been made much easier because of the safety our candidates feel. We are aware of how important it is for us to do our job well and will continue to lean heavily on your prayers for us.
