The Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) program at Asbury Seminary may be just what you need. Housed within the Beeson International Center for Biblical Preaching and Church Leadership, the D.Min. program offers students the opportunity to expand their capacity for ministry, gain greater alignment with their own giftedness and God’s call on their lives, and experience greater passion for God and the ministry.

The D.Min. degree is available through multiple tracks. In the In-Ministry track, students may choose from four concentrations: Christian Formation, Missional Leadership, Preaching and Worship, and Transformational Innovation.* Coming soon is a new Collegial Fellows model where a cluster of 10-12 students will join with a selected faculty member to focus their study around that faculty member’s area of research and ministry. For those who qualify, Beeson tracks that come with scholarships are also available including residential and non-residential Beeson Pastors and Beeson International Leaders.

Admission to the D.Min. program requires a Master of Divinity or its educational equivalence and at least three years of ministry experience subsequent to the completion of the Master’s degree. A cohort will begin on the Florida Dunnam campus this summer. Classes will also begin on the Kentucky campus this summer. All application materials are due by May 1, 2011 for full consideration.

The D.Min. program is normally completed in three to five years with a maximum of five years allotted for degree completion. All D.Min. seminars are offered as one-week intensives. This allows pastors in active ministry to incorporate the program into their busy schedule, being away from home only two weeks a year. Through community relationships, students share and learn from the diverse experiences of faculty and fellow students.
