
THM (World Mission and Evangelism)
THM(WME)
The Master of Theology (World Mission and Evangelism) program is designed to introduce students within community to theological, contextual, spiritual and strategic literatures of missiology, to prepare students for informed and effective practice of mission across cultures and within the student's own culture. The program prepares leaders for the Church and teachers for the academy, whose service warrants missiological knowledge. The Th.M. stands alone as a recognized and respected teaching and research degree.
Admission Requirements
- Application
- $50 non-refundable application fee
- Accredited bachelor's degree with 3.00/4.00 minimum GPA*
- Accredited master of divinity degree or an academic or professional (two-year minimum or 60 semester hours) master's degree in an appropriate theological or missiological discipline, including a minimum of 30 semester hours in biblical and theological studies, with a 3.0/4.0 minimum GPA*
- Official transcripts of all postsecondary schools attended sent to Admissions directly from the institution
- Personal history essay

Reference forms
- Four references from professors or other scholars
- Writing sample of academic work completed within past 3 years and reflecting a research interest appropriate to the degree program.
- Demonstrated capability for languages (biblical research or field languages) other than English. The capability can be demonstrated by transcripts showing 12 hours (college or graduate) of language study (normally in a single language) with a grade of B or better, or by documented proficiency in any language(s) or other research tools necessary for the dissertation research.
- For applicants who native language is other than English, 90 internet (577 paper) TOEFL score or 7.5 IELTS
- Access to the Internet (registration, course schedules, syllabi and much of the program's communication is online)

File completion deadline: January 5, 2010 for the Fall 2010 semester *If your GPA [or GRE scores] do not meet the minimum requirement or does not accurately reflect your ability to succeed at Asbury, you will have an opportunity to explain in your personal history essay.
