Family Housing Information

All requests for maintenance service/repairs should be made in person, by phone (859) 858-2298, or by email maintenance@asburyseminary.edu (email requests should not be used for emergencies) to the Physical Plant, whose offices are in the Physical Plant building. After business hours (evening, weekends, and holidays), emergency maintenance requests only should be directed to the Seminary switchboard (859) 858-3581.

(1) Laundry facilities are located in the utility rooms in the following apartments: Elizabeth House, William House, Broadhurst Manor, Palmer Manor, Bettie Morrison, and Turkington Manor. These contain coin–operated washers and dryers (serviced by an outside vendor) for your convenience.

(2) In the event of a lock out, during business hours, the Family Housing Office (in the Business Office) can provide a key. After business hours the Beeson Manor front desk can provide a key for tenants. An ID must be provided in order to borrow the key (the ID remains at the office or front desk until the key is returned).

(3) Designated storage areas are provided for each occupant in the apartment buildings. All belongings stored in these storage areas must remain in the designated area for the tenant’s unit only.

(4) Stick-on hangers are approved for hanging lightweight pictures on walls. Nails or screws should not be used in walls or cabinets.

(5) Painting or refinishing of any part of the interior or any of the furniture is prohibited except by written permission of the Physical Plant Director.

(6) No roof installations of television antennas or satellite dishes are permissible.

(7) Fire codes do not permit items to be stored in or around the water heaters.

(8) Personal belongings are not to be stored in the hallways or stairwells for safety reasons (per the Fire Marshal).

(9) Toys and bikes are not to be left on the lawn when not in use.

(10) The Seminary endeavors to maintain the housing units in good condition. Occupants’ cooperation in keeping them this way and in reporting needed repairs and maintenance in a timely fashion is appreciated.
