DUTIES
1. Provide oversight to the planning, development, and implementation of the Junior and Senior High youth programming, to include but not limited to: Sunday School, Sunday evening program, mid-week discipling group(s), social activities, district/denominational youth activities, Bible quizzing, ministry/service activities, youth worship involvement, outreach/evangelism and missions experiences.
2. Be available to counsel youth.
3. Initiate times of one-on-one contact with youth - spending one-quarter to one-third of his time in direct personal contact with the youth outside of church activity.
4. Recruit, train, and supervise both adult volunteer youth leaders and teen-peer leaders, with focus on discipling and developing these leaders in their respective ministries.
5. Work in cooperation with the Senior Pastor and Deacons in providing pastoral care and assistance to teens and their families who are hospitalized, or experiencing other serious difficulties, crises, or trauma.
6. Observe all appropriate church policies within the youth program, and seek to develop a safe and secure environment for our young people.

The current youth program consists of a volunteer adult leadership team, well-attended regular weekly programming, summer trips and other special events. Ministry Duties and Responsibilities
Please note that the following duties and responsibilities are to be performed as part of the CCUC pastoral staff and in close coordination with the English ministry pastoral staff and the youth ministry lay leaders. A team approach to ministry is essential.
-Develop and maintain a mission and vision for the youth ministry that is consistent with the mission and vision of the English ministry and the church.
-Provide overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the youth ministry.
-Recruit, train, and mentor lay leaders to ensure quality of programs, teaching, training, and effective use of resources.

-Work closely with the pastoral staff, deacons, and lay leaders to establish and maintain Christian homes.
