Student Leadership Team
The Asbury Theological Seminary Student Leadership Team (SLT) exists to serve the student body in Kentucky and on the Virtual Campus (ExL). Our mission is:
To serve as representatives of the student body through being advocates; providing social, service and recreational opportunities; and fostering spiritual growth in order to make a lasting impact on the ATS community and the world.
All students enrolled for four (4) hours or more who are members of the Student Body are encouraged to participate in SLT events, programs, and ministries. The funding of these projects and programs are provided through student activity fees.
There are eight (8) elected core team members: a President, a Vice President, three (3) class Visionaries (Junior, Middler, and Senior), a Community Life Coordinator and two (2) Program Coordinators. The core team appoints and assists eleven (11) Directors and Representatives who organize the ministries and activities of the SLT. There are always opportunities for serving on ministry committees and events.
The committees and ministries of the SLT include intramural sports, community service projects, community social activities, communications, The Asbury Witness editor, drama productions, new student orientation, 24/7 prayer chain and graduation celebrations. We are always seeking the Lord for new avenues of ministry and service.
The SLT also represents the interest and concerns of students by participating on various committees of the Administration, the Office of Community Life, the Faculty and the Board of Trustees.
The SLT office is located in the middle of the Sherman Thomas Student Center in room 113. Every student is encouraged to stop by and visit the office on campus. The SLT is one avenue of service to the Asbury Community. Check out the ways God might use you in service with this team!
