AHOP
Asbury Seminary, in partnership with Asbury College, launched the Asbury House of Prayer in 2006. AHOP is a 24-7 initiative for the entire Asbury community and beyond.
We discovered a couple of years back that students at both Asbury College and Asbury Seminary were attempting to organize themselves in response to a sense of divine calling to engage in unceasing prayer. These students found each other and joined efforts in this work in the fall of 2006. In February 2007, AHOP relocated to the ground floor of Larabee-Morris Residence Hall on Asbury Seminary's Kentucky campus; quite a symbolic and strategic place, as Larabee-Morris Hall is the building in which Asbury Seminary first opened its doors. The AHOP room itself was the seminary's first classroom.
