Spiritual Formation
Marilyn Elliott
Director of Spiritual FormationAttending seminary involves more than earning a degree or fulfilling a denominational requirement. It involves the whole person and is structured to minister academically, spiritually and emotionally. The ACE student body is not separate from the spiritual life of the Asbury Seminary community due to their geographical locations. They are an equal and integral part of the community that makes Asbury Seminary the amazing place that it is.
ACE students will participate in two retreats, led by Marilyn Elliott, during their two-year program that will focus on the spiritual formation journey. Students will be able to participate in chapel each Saturday to enrich the formational aspect of the learning experience.
In addition to formational retreats and chapel, students will have access to spiritual helps through the Prayer forum on oneATS. Students can and do spend much time praying for each other as well as participating in the lives of their classmates in numerous ways. ACE students can also access live chapels taking place at the Kentucky campus.
