Pius Kagwi knows the quality of education he's receiving in Asbury's Beeson Program-after all, he's been a student at Asbury before. "Asbury is a good school," says Pius. "It has not only good teachers, but also committed ones. Every person at Asbury is a team member in the system of producing the best learners in the world."
The "system" in place at Asbury had a lasting impact on Pius as he remembered the teamwork, love, order and respect among professors, administration and other officers. Perhaps the meekness displayed in the staff's team effort is what has inspired him in his studies.
"I hope to gain knowledge of God and leadership of His people, and how to serve them better," says Pius. "I am learning how to lead the Church of Jesus Christ back to God."
Pius says the one thing he values most in about his Asbury experience is that he's learned how to be a leader with humility. "My experience is actually humbling me, making me a servant to the people."
