Rebecca Barnes, Coordinator of the Beeson International Leaders Program
Rebecca Barnes was born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia. She attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC and earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. While in college Rebecca served in the North Georgia Annual Conference of the United Methodist church as a Youth Intern and Assistant Youth Pastor under her mentor, Rev. Allan Todd. Here she met fellow youth worker, Kevin Barnes and they married in May 2000. Kevin and Rebecca began their ministry together first serving Springs Community Church and later Providence United Methodist Church in Peachtree City, Georgia. While Kevin served as a fulltime Youth Minister, Rebecca moved into the classroom, working as a high school English teacher for seven years in metro Atlanta. She and Kevin came to ATS in the fall of 2006. Kevin is working toward his MDiv degree as Rebecca works in the Beeson Center offices. They have a beautiful daughter.
