Financial Aid at Asbury

In order to determine your eligibility for scholarships and federal aid, you must first complete the Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid Application* and the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Asbury Seminary's Federal School Code for the FAFSA is G01953. In order to avoid common errors, review the Financial Aid Packet Instructions carefully prior to completing these forms.

*To access the Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid Application, persons must have made application for admission to the seminary.

Important deadlines

  • Presidential Scholarship:

    • January 5: Must be admitted
    • January 15: Application for the Presidential Scholarship due
    • March 1: FAFSA and Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid application completed
  • Dr. J. Ellsworth Kalas Scholarship:

    • January 5: Must be admitted
    • January 15: Application for the Dr. J. Ellsworth Scholarship due
    • March 1: FAFSA and Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid application completed
  • All M.A./MDiv scholarships:

    • March 1: FAFSA and Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid application completed
  • Trustees International Scholarship

    • February 1: Must be admitted
    • February 15: Applications due
    • March 1: International Student Questionnaire (ISQ) completed
  • Postgraduate Student Scholarships:

    • February 1: Must be admitted
    • January 15: Applications due
    • March 1: Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid application completed*

The FAFSA and Asbury Seminary Financial Aid Application (due March 1) are required before scholarships can be awarded. *Exception: Postgraduate students who are only interested in receiving scholarship funds are not required to complete the FAFSA.
