Applying for Aid
Consideration for financial aid is contingent upon a student:
-
Being admitted as a degree-seeking student and having all financial aid documents on file in the Financial Aid Office.
-
Completing a new Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid Application and a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) annually.
-
Maintaining satisfactory academic progress.
The Asbury Theological Seminary Financial Aid Application is used by students to request specific sources of financial aid and by the Financial Aid Office to determine need. Early application is advised. If you are interested in scholarship aid, please meet appropriate scholarship deadlines.
The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is used to determine eligibility for federal financial aid (Stafford Loans, Perkins Loans, GradPlus Loans, and Work Study). Financial need is determined by subtracting the amount the student can afford to contribute towards his or her education (Expected Family Contribution), as determined by the FAFSA, from the cost of attending Asbury Theological Seminary.
Financial aid awards for the upcoming Financial Aid year are initially distributed on April 1. As new awards are completed and/or updated, they will be issued to students on a daily basis.
Steps to obtaining Financial Aid:
*Exception: Postgraduate students who are only interested in receiving scholarship funds are not required to complete the FAFSA.
