Web Conferencing with Wimba Pronto
As of September 1st, 2010, Asbury Theological Seminary is providing a new web conferencing system called Wimba Pronto that will be made available to our alumni free of charge.
The mission of Asbury Theological Seminary is to prepare men and women to spread scriptural holiness throughout the world. Our vision is to do this by reflecting the Glory of God through worship, renew our vision by engaging the global church, restore hope through evangelism & church planting and revitalizing the Church through faithfulness to God’s Word. This is accomplished through relationships, relationships with God and with one another. The alumni office seeks to provide resources that can strengthen those relationships after graduation, enabling alums to stay connected with fellow classmates from Asbury Seminary who are scattered throughout the world.
Wimba Pronto will enable alumni to instantly hold web video conferences from any computer with a broadband internet connection. This includes white board, audio\video, screen sharing and text chat capability. Wimba will also allow for group video conferencing with customized directories. This new resource will enable alumni to connect more easily with one another by making use of built in directories based on graduating class, geographic region and degree program, by the end of October.
