Preview Weekend: Experience a community called...
Orlando, FL: April 16-17, 2010
Wilmore, KY: April 16-17, 2010
While the Admissions team hosts visits to our campuses almost weekly, Preview Weekend is a uniquely focused time of contemplation, prayer, fellowship, worship and information that we pray will be used of God to provide space for prospective students to discern God's will for their lives. Since their inception in 2007, these dedicated weekends have resulted in strong and meaningful gatherings of men and women who are at a similar place in their Christian journey.
Preview Weekend provides worship experiences where prospective students are allowed room to seek God and time to listen to God. They hear from Asbury Seminary faculty and students who teach and share their testimonies. Prospective students attend class, and meet with professors to learn and ask questions about the academic programs relating to their specific discipline of interest. Seminary office representatives, including Financial Aid, Registrar, Community Life and Distributed Learning, are on hand to talk one-on-one providing immediate and specific answers to prospective student questions.
Following are comments from previous Preview Weekend guests:
"The entire weekend was inspiring. Everyone was so very generous with their time. The question and answer period was excellent. I appreciated how many departments. were represented. The food was also just wonderful. The small group time with the professor from counseling really helped clarify my direction. Chapel time was the icing on the cake."
"One thing that attracts me most about Asbury is that it seems to be not just a graduate school, but a community of faith."
"I enjoyed best the testimonies of the students and faculty...It seemed each person who spoke addressed a specific need or question...the ice cream social was the perfect time to interact with others in a very informal setting. I really enjoyed myself."
"The primary message I got at Asbury that distinguishes you from other schools I've visited is that the faculty and school are not only dedicated to theological education, but also to the spiritual support and development of the students. That message is strong and clear, and it encouraged me to complete my application to Asbury. Thank you for your hospitality and for the opportunity to understand ATS better."
