Come Holy Spirit
An Ingathering of the Movement to seek the Spirit of Holiness with the Global Church. September 14-16, 2010
Holiness. . . our core longing. The mystery of the Gospel spreads like a contagion across the land as the foolishness of the Cross gets unleashed in the World. For 87 years Asbury Theological Seminary has sought to participate in this eternal movement of Scriptural Holiness.
"True Holiness is a witness that cannot be ignored. Real sainthood is a phenomenon to which even the worldling pays tribute. The power of a life, where Christ is exalted, would arrest and subdue those who are bored to tears by our thin version of Christianity and wholly uninterested in mere churchmanship." Albert Day.
Join us this fall for a solemn assembly and signal celebration gathering around the message of the Gospel and the movement of Scriptural Holiness throughout the World. The week opens with an optional Retreat Day on Monday, guided by Drs. Marilyn Elliott and Reg Johnson. Expect a time for deep renewal and refreshing in the Lord. Dr. Timothy C. Tennent will preach the morning services on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Evening services will be held on Tuesday and Wednesday night with a plenary breakout session on those afternoons. On Wednesday, we are closing offices and suspending classes in order to gather for a day of prayer and fasting on campus. We will conclude Thursday at noon with commissioning and sending.
More details to come, so SAVE THE DATE. September 14-16. Wilmore, Kentucky.
