As some of you may or may not know, the Office of Advancement spends two weeks in January on a prayer focused Phonathon to keep in touch with our constituents, and especially our alumni! Each year, students and other supporters in the Wilmore community gather together to make phoning each of our constituents possible. This is a great opportunity for us to listen, update, and pray for our alumni out in the “world wide parish.” We also use the opportunity to renew, or begin, any pledges for the financial year.

The October Meeting, and Asbury Now…

With their First Annual Meeting back in late October, the Alumni Association Council is gearing up to identify and represent the needs of Asbury Seminary’s nearly 10,000 alumni across the globe! The October Meeting was a crucial gathering for the Council, so that its nineteen members who represent three decades of alumni could see where Asbury Seminary is in 2010, and where it looks to be going in the years ahead. Asbury has grown into a new place of preparation for ministry even within the last five years, and the dynamics of alumni needs and relationships with the program have also grown. With that established in their mind, the Alumni Association Council did some of their own "vision casting" with high optimism about the diversity and capability of Asbury’s Alumni all over the world, answering calls to ministry all over the career chart.
