MOVE! Conference
September 13-16, Asbury Seminary, Kentucky Campus
An Alumni Luncheon will be held for those attending the conference, Tuesday, September 14th, at 12:00 noon. Beginning with a retreat on Sunday evening, into Monday, make room for this time of worship, personal reflection, special speakers, music, fellowship, food and fun for the campus community, alumni and friends joining together in a celebration of holiness. 2010 Evans Lecture
October 7, Asbury Seminary, Florida Dunnam Campus
This year’s Evans Lecture will not be something to miss! You are invited to a special luncheon hosted in the Harper Community Room of the Asbury Seminary Campus in Orlando, beginning at 11:30am. Dr. Tennent will be our guest speaker during the luncheon. Additionally, the members of the Florida Council will be using this opportunity to meet and dine with our alumni. Following the luncheon, everyone would be invited to stay for a special message from John Michael Talbot.
Ministry Conference 2011

Due to popular demand, the Beeson Center for Lifelong Learning is bringing back to the Kentucky campus the Ministry Conference, taking place March 21-24, 2011. The theme for Ministry Conference is "Ministry in the Image of God." Updates
Jeffrey C. Crawford (1976) retired on June 30, 2009. Jeff served in both the Western New York Conference and the North Central New York Conference in full time ministry for 33 years. As a member of the Western New York Conference, Jeff served four local church appointments as pastor with an appointment as a District Superintendent sandwiched in between. He and his wife, Beverly, live on the east side of Rochester, NY. They have three children, the youngest of whom is a junior at LeMoyne College in Syracuse, NY.
Byron Dealey (1972) retired in July from over 30 years in the ministry of the Evangelical Church. For over eighteen years, Pastor Dealey has been the Senior Pastor for Immanuel Evangelical Church in Linton, North Dakota. Before settling into pastoral care, he and his wife worked with One Mission as a missionary couple serving in Spain for an extended length of time. The Dealey's are retiring to New Castle, Indiana.
Obituaries
GIBBS, Leslie Wayne (1957), 80 years of age, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 1, 2010 at Care Link of Jackson after a long illness. Dorthy, wife of 57 years, and sons, David and Stan, and daughters, Suanne Cali and Karyl Rhodes, survive him. Leslie received his Associates degree from Spring Arbor Junior College, his Bachelors degree from Greenville College, and his Master of Arts for Teachers from Michigan State University. He then earned his Bachelor of Divinity from Asbury Seminary, followed by earning his PhD in Chemistry from the University of the Pacific. He retired after 38 years of teaching chemistry at Spring Arbor College and for many years pastored at Sandstone Congregational Church. He was also a long-time active member of the Parma-Spring Arbor Lions Club.
RIDALL, Robert Clyde, (1949) age 89, died Wednesday, June 23, 2010, at his home. He married the former Lynda Joyce Carter on Sept. 23, 1969, and she survives. Also surviving are daughters Priscilla Ann Ridall, Eva Marie Ridall, and Rachel Dellinger, and stepchildren Patricia Lynn Wadsworth-Elzein and Timothy Dean Wadsworth.
RIGGS, Virgil M. (1950), age 87, of Overland Park, Kan., peacefully passed away Friday, July 2, 2010. Virgil is survived by Rosetta, his wife of 63 years; a son, Larry, and daughters, Marilyn and Sondra. After service in the Army during WWII, Virgil earned several degrees including bachelor of divinity from Asbury Theological Seminary and doctor of education from Oklahoma State University. Both an educator and a minister, Virgil's real calling was the ministry, where he served a number of congregations faithfully and joyfully during his life. His mission was to live a life pleasing to God and to help others discover the peace and joy that only Christ can give.
SEIDER, Pastor Herman K. (1954), age89, of Tampa, went home to be with his Lord, June 13, 2010. He is survived by his wife Mary, and sons, Carl and Ernest. While serving proudly in the Marine Corps, he accepted Jesus as his personal savior. After the war he attended Asbury Seminary receiving a Master's of Divinity. He was a Missionary in Costa Rica for seven years also pastoring in KY and MI.
PATRICK , Rev. Hubert L. (1952) On April 8, 2010, beloved husband of June Elizabeth (Ward) Patrick; loving father of Carol S. Patrick and the late David L. Patrick, went to be with the Lord. Both he and his surviving wife are alumni of Asbury Theological Seminary, and spent Hubert's last years in Maryland.
