Master of Arts in Youth Ministry
The Master of Arts in Youth Ministry program empowers people to minister and work in the context of today’s youth culture. The program focuses on solid grounding in Scripture and the gospel, as well as the practicalities and passion needed for youth ministry.
Admission Requirements

- The pastor of the church you attend, or another minister
- A personal friend or acquaintance
- 2.75/4.00 grade point average
Applicants whose grade point average falls between 2.50 and 2.75 may be admitted on a “reduced load” basis. For applicants whose cumulative grade point average is below 2.50, a score of 50 on the Miller Analogies Test or a 500 on the verbal section of the Graduate Record Examination is required. - For applicants whose native language is other than English, 79 internet (550 paper) TOEFL score or 7.0 IELTS

- Introduction to Biblical Studies (may sub OT520 & NT520 & IBS-1)
- Turning Points in Church History
- Basic Christian Doctrine or Method and Praxis in Theology
- Youth Ministry Core (22 hours)
- Technology in Ministry
- Foundations of Youth Ministry
- Communicating the Gospel to Youth
- Moral Development
- Discipleship Development in the Family
- The Life of the Youth Minister
- Mentored Youth Ministry– 1, 2 & 3
- Youth Ministry Electives (9 hours)
- General Electives (12 hours)
In addition to these classes, students are required to complete a Bible Competency Examination.
