Master of Theology (Biblical Studies) (ThM(BS))
The Master of Theology (Biblical Studies) program is designed for the enhanced understanding of and commitment to personal and social holiness through practices of moral, personal and spiritual formation, in a context of accountability to a community of faith and dependence on the Spirit of Christ; and substantive understanding of the field of biblical studies appropriate for advanced academic study of Scripture in the service of the church, with a focus on scholarship for research and publication.

- Accredited bachelor's degree with 3.5/4.0 minimum GPA
- Accredited master of divinity degree or masters degree (60 hours or two years) in a theological discipline with a 3.5/4.0 minimum GPA
- Official transcripts of all postsecondary schools attended sent to Admissions directly from the institution

- Writing sample of academic work completed within past 3 years and reflecting a research interest appropriate to the degree program.
- Intermediate-level competency in Biblical Hebrew or Koine Greek, and at least an introductory-level competency in the other biblical language.

- For applicants who native language is other than English, 90 internet (577 paper) TOEFL score or 7.5 IELTS

ThM(BS) Core (9 hours)
- Research Methods in OT Interpretation
- Research Methods in NT Interpretation
- Seminar on the History of Biblical Interpretation
Electives (21 hours)
- Twenty-one hours shall include one biblical language; an additional research language cognate to student’s area of study; and additional coursework in biblical studies.
