Dr. Steven Ybarrola comes to Asbury Seminary to serve as a professor of cultural anthropology. Dr. Ybarrola previously served in many capacities with Central College in Iowa. He received his Ph.D. and M.A. from Brown University, and his B.A. is from Bethel College. He is currently completing work on the manuscript Enemies & Allies, Strangers & Friends: Identity and Ideology in the Peninsular Basque Country, that will be published by the University of Nevada Press. He and his wife, Lorie, have been married for 24 years and have two children, Micah and Brianna.
