Dr. Headley joined the Seminary faculty in 1990 with experience in psychology, administration and education. Ordained in the Free Methodist Church of North America, he has taught elementary and high school in the West Indies, lectured at Caribbean Wesleyan College in Barbados and the Caribbean Graduate School of Theology in Kingston, Jamaica, and has pastored churches in the United States and the Caribbean. From 1981-83, Dr. Headley served as the director of extension studies for the Christian Union Bible School in Barbados, organizing and teaching courses to train local pastors and church workers. Prior to coming to Asbury, he worked for two and a half years as a career counselor at the University of Kentucky Career Center. A licensed psychologist in Kentucky, Headley also serves with the Seminary’s Counseling Resource Center. He was the 1985 speaker for the International Year of the Youth in Barbados. During the last several years, he has conducted a number of seminars in stress and burnout for clergy and religious workers. He has traveled widely in the Caribbean, South America and Indonesia. Dr. Headley and his wife, Adina, have three children: Jon, Aaron and Alex.
