Dr. Boyd joined the Asbury Seminary faculty in 1981. He currently teaches technology related courses in the Area of Christian Ministries. As executive director of Information Technology, Dr. Boyd has been responsible for the installation of the high-tech infrastructure on campus. In this position he supervises persons responsible for telephones, local area network, computer lab, administrative computing, library computing, video information system, video production, as well as the traditional media center. Prior to coming to Asbury, Dr. Boyd was a media specialist in Decatur County Community Schools and Northeastern Wayne Schools (Fountain City), both in Indiana, and also taught at Purdue University. He is a permanent deacon in the South Indiana Conference of The United Methodist Church. Dr. Boyd likes traveling and antiquing, and has held season tickets to Ball State football games since 1971.
